Meridians are the channels through which life energy; chi flows in our body. There are 12 main meridians in our body that pass through our muscles and organs. The energy flowing through these channels is responsible for our body, mind and soul balance. Doing yoga helps the energy in this system to flow regularly in the body.
In each yoga pose we do, more than one meridian passing through our body is affected. We can focus on one of the 12 main meridians and practice according to our needs.
In this practice, we will focus on yin yoga poses that will activate the heart meridian. The heart meridian controls our mental activities and blood circulation. It is directly related to our mental health and thinking ability and the power of Chi in our heart. All systems in our body are interconnected; The heart meridian is paired with the small intestine meridian.
